    Nana Adjoa Adobea Khartey is a highly accomplished lawyer and governance strategist
    with over a decade of legal leadership across telecommunications, fintech, intellectual
    property, and regulatory policy. she brings exceptional cross-jurisdictional insight and a
    deep understanding of legal systems in emerging and developed markets.

    She is the co-founder and senior partner of Afrimore Advisors, a law firm headquartered
    in Accra. As head of the corporate and technology practice of the firm, she provides top-
    tier legal advisory to fintechs, ISPs, and digital platforms, shaping financial structures, IP
    protections, and data privacy frameworks aligned with international standards such as
    GDPR. She is recognised for her ability to lead legal innovation—leveraging digital tools
    to enhance compliance, mitigate legal risks, and drive business growth.

    Nana Adjoa previously served as Company Secretary of the National Communications
    Authority (NCA), where she led governance reforms, spearheaded regulatory
    transformation, and established the Authority’s first Dispute Resolution Committee—
    significantly reducing litigation and fostering industry collaboration. Her tenure as CEO
    of the National Folklore Board was equally transformative, culminating in the passage of
    national legislation on folklore user fees, partnerships with UNESCO and Marvel Studios,
    and a 60% increase in sector revenue through strategic IP licensing.

    A boardroom mainstay, she has held non-executive directorships with government and
    private sector institutions including the Precious Minerals Marketing Company and the
    Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana. She is also the founder of the Adobea Khartey
    Mentorship Series—empowering young women into leadership with an impressive track
    record of advancement.

    Certified in Negotiation, Mediation, and Sustainable Dispute Resolution from the
    University of Milan, she is a strong advocate for alternative dispute resolution and conflict

    Nana Adjoa is an active global voice in legal innovation, having spoken at the

  • Lucie Caswell

    Lucie is a senior strategist and negotiator, specialising in connecting IP and innovation, copyright and digital music rights affairs. Lucie has negotiated international relations and commercial deals on all ‘sides’ of the stakeholder table. Lucie also leads government policy for the UK’s entertainment retail sector, representing music, video and games.

    Lucie started her music career at iconic, independent music publishers, later spending time focusing on song rights and innovation licensing, going on to bring a range of music services and rights holders into agreement, including for Deezer, Sony/SYCO, Sandbox Game, Singa and Bandcamp.

    Representing at sector level, Lucie is the former CEO of the UK’s performing artist organisation, the FAC, Chief Policy, Rights and Public Affairs Officer for the Music Publishers Association and, is currently Chief Innovation and Government Affairs Officer for the UK’s entertainment retail body, ERA.

    With seven years of dedicated experience in the T&S domain, I have cultivated a multifaceted understanding of online harms. My career in T&S began as a Researcher in Hate Speech and Extremism, focussed on European markets. This has broadened over the years, and as such I have worn many hats – from Election Fraud Monitoring Senior Analyst, to Expert in Suicide & Self-Harm harms. I particularly enjoy researching and discussing the intersectionality of online harms, and especially what harms can mean in a local context vs global. I am currently the Head of Trust & Safety Operations at Resolver (formerly Crisp Thinking), overseeing operations across 50+ languages and global markets.

  • Justyna Lisinska

    I am a tech policy consultant with experience at the intersection of emerging technologies, innovation, and government. Over the years, I have led on high-level policy events, eg roundtables with MPs, and House of Commons receptions, policy labs helping to shape conversations on critical technology issues.
    My career spans academia, government, and think tanks. I earned a PhD in Web Science from the University of Southampton, during which I worked as a Policy Associate, contributing to evidence-based policy development. I also completed a secondment at the Cabinet Office, gaining firsthand experience in government policy-making. Previously, I served as a Policy Analyst at a leading technology think tank in Washington, D.C., and as a Policy Research Fellow at King’s College London, where I developed the UK’s largest academic programme on autonomous systems.
    I have specialised expertise across both hardware and software, focusing on emerging technology challenges, for example, including AI, autonomous vehicles, semiconductors, and issues around fake news and misinformation.

  • Dr Claire Thorne

    Claire is Adviser and Venture Partner at Deep Science Ventures, co-founding and now scaling the Venture Science Directorate. She serves on the Council of The Foundation for Science and Technology, is a member of the Sutton Trust’s Tech Future Taskforce and techUK’s TechSkills Advisory Board. She is also co-Chief Executive Officer of a ‘tech for good’ scale-up, an industry-backed charity tackling the UK’s tech skills gap: Tech She Can.

    Claire regularly speaks at London Tech Weeks, Mobile World Congress, Accenture and Infosys’ client conferences, and contributes to publications in Computing, The Guardian and with the Tony Blair Institute.
