WiTP hosted a call with a number of leading experts from across the tech policy landscape to complete a response to the Ofcom consultation on their draft guidance: A Safer Life Online for Women and Girls.
This was a critical opportunity for our members to help shape the future of online safety for women and girls by sharing both professional and personal experiences and insights.
We also trialled an innovative, low-time commitment way to engage expert, time-poor women in policymaking — recognising that the traditional consultation model can often be exclusionary. Our format made it easier for women leading in their fields to feed in at speed, without compromising on quality. We’re proud to be exploring new methods of ensuring women’s voices are not just heard, but heard quickly in fast-moving policy spaces.
We’re delighted to have submitted a thoughtful, forward-looking response to Ofcom — and look forward to continuing to innovate in how expert women shape the future.
