Dinner with Deema Al Yahya

3 June 2025, 6:00 pm

On Tuesday 3 June, Women in Tech Policy hosted an intimate salon-style dinner with Deemah AlYahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO). Supported by the DCO, the evening brought together senior women in tech policy to explore how digital tools can empower women in developing nations and drive inclusive global growth.

  • As the go-to network in London tech policy, Women in Tech Policy is now hosting high-level dialogues with global leaders. This dinner marked another milestone, with attendees including MPs, senior officials, and policy experts from across the UK, MENA, and beyond.
  • Deemah shared powerful case studies on digital inclusion and the urgency of closing the gender digital divide. The discussion, facilitated by experts from Ofcom and the Cherie Blair Foundation, tackled barriers to access, the UK’s role in global cooperation, and how we measure success across different contexts.
  • The evening fostered meaningful dialogue, practical collaboration, and reinforced our commitment to shaping a more inclusive digital future.
